Opening Fall 2017, PennDesign’s Robotics Lab supports work by the Autonomous Manufacturing Lab.

The Advanced Research & Innovation Lab (ARI) brings together the combined expertise of PennDesign faculty members with state-of-the art fabrication, measurement and modeling technologies.
The Fabrication Lab serves as a practical laboratory extension of classroom theory. The lab is equipped for all phases of woodworking, metalworking, and machining, as well as digital fabrication with CNC routing, laser cutting, and 3D FDM printing.
PennDesign encourages students to enter the world’s leading competitions in architecture and the design professions.
There are a wealth of career services opportunities and resources available to Penn Design students, including Individual Advising, Web Resources Tailored for PennDesign, Career Connection Day, Workshops and Panels, and many others.
The Center for Environmental Building & Design is a faculty research unit at the School of Design dedicated to improving the environmental future of contemporary buildings and cities.
