The Institute of Contemporary Art, located on the University of Pennsylvania campus at 36th and Sansom Street, is a non-collecting exhibition facility dedicated to presenting the art of our time. The building was designed by Adele Naude Santos in 1990 and provides more than 10,000 square feet of space with soaring two story galleries, a fully equipped education center, a roof-top garden, and archival library. Exhibits change approximately every three months. The ICA encourages public analysis of its art exhibition through lectures, films, and performances and members of the University community are always welcome. It is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Wednesdays until 7 PM.
