Computing Policies and Procedures

E-Mail Accounts and Support

Each student should create an e-mail account on the Dolphin e-mail system. Every student is expected to use their University e-mail regularly since the majority of communications from the University and School of Design is sent to that account.

E-Mail accounts can be created at campusexpress.upenn.edu/no_email.html. You will need your PennKey ID and password to access this site or contact Cathy DiBonaventura, 314 Meyerson, 898-3160. Information about everything from courses to Happy Hour is distributed via e-mail.

World Wide Web (WWW) Support of Personal Webs

E-mail accounts on the Dolphin system are also configured to support the creation of personal homepages for School of Design students. The Dolphin computer systems are administered by the Office of Information Systems and Computing and have various policies on web page content and creation. Instructions on how to do this can be found at http://www.upenn.edu/computing/email/makehome.html. Due to limited resources, School of Design computing staff cannot teach individuals how to create web pages.
