Storage Quotas
All students are provided with a 500MB quota for email. This quota includes all email folders including your inbox, sent mail folders, and any folders you may have created for organizational purposes. If you exceed your quota, you will be unable to receive any email until the problem is resolved (messages sent during this time will not be redelivered). The Disk Quota utility available from the Account Services website will display the current status of your quota as well as the 3 largest folders. Note: all quota information is listed in Kilobytes (KB) instead of Megabytes (MB) so 250MB would be listed as 250000k. Also note that your Inbox will be listed as ".maildrop".
Course Folders
(\\Juno\courses): Each course and studio has a folder designed to share data among the PennDesign community. By default, Course Folders are provided with a 20GB quota. If your course requires additional space, ask your faculty member or TA to send a request to the PennDesign ITS staff.
PennDesign Storage (Home Directory)
All students receive a 2GB of storage space on the network. All data saved to the Home Folder is backed up daily and kept for at least 2 months. This space is accessible from PennDesign lab computers, personal computer located in the studios and via the Remote Access web interface. See the Data Storage page for details.
