Computer Workshops For Incoming Students
STUDENTS!
PennDesign ITS is offering workshops to help incoming students set up their computer on the Design network. Please plan to attend one of these workshops. You will learn how to access the wireless network, how to connect to our network resources, the correct naming convention for your computer, how to install printers, access our software, and a number of other tips.
Don’t waste valuable time trying to figure this out on your own. Attending one of these workshops will have you up and running quickly, and you will be able to jump right into your Design work.
Bring your laptop to the workshop. If you have a desktop, we will be displaying all of the instructions on the screen.

Penn Live
A New Email System For Incoming Students
PennDesign has partnered with Microsoft to release the Penn Live service, which is based largely on the Microsoft Live@edu suite of services. The primary component of Penn Live is a Microsoft Exchange account which includes Email, calendar, contacts, and task management, all of which can be shared as desired with your peers on the Penn Live network. This isn’t just a Hotmail or Gmail account… It’s the same service used by many large organizations for internal and external communications and collaboration.
