Blackboard CourseInfo - The Web is the primary means by which we can deliver online materials to students. It's easy to create websites for courses with Blackboard CourseInfo. The Library is now making online reserve readings available in Blackboard CourseInfo.
Course Folders - PennDesign Computing provides space on the student file server for course materials. These Course Folders (CFs) can be accessed from any computer connected to the Design Domain (\\juno). All PennDesign faculty and staff have full read/write access to any CF (not just their own CF). It's also important to note that any access given to students is implied for ALL PennDesign students. Access is NOT specific to the students of that course. Read more on course folders here.
Class Mailing Lists - It's easy to start a class mailing list (a course listserv) or newsgroup for electronic class discussions. To create another e-mail discussion list (for a valid academic purpose), send mail to our list-manager.
Courses InTouch - It's easy for educators to use Courses InTouch to get a course registration list with pictures.
Equipment Reservation - Need to check out a laptop, projector or cart for your class? Follow this link to reserve equipment.
PennKey and Password - The services listed above require a valid PennKey and password.
New Tools for Teaching - Interested interested in using technology for a course and want a broad overview of what's available and useful? Take a look at Jim O'Donnell's Page.
New Tools for Teaching - For new tools currently in use at Penn, consult Penn's New Tools for Teaching support site.
Facilitating Faculty-Student Collaboration - There are other surveys of current tools and techniques as well, including ISC's Faculty-Student Collaboration on the Internet. See what they have to offer as well.
