There are many resources available to faculty. You need to create a PennKey ID and password to gain access to these resources.

- Get a PennCard (Franklin Building)
- Set up a PennKey ID and password at www.upenn.edu/computing/pennkey
- Get a PennDesign Account. Please see one of the Computing staff on the 3rd Floor of Meyerson to set up your PennDesign account.
Blackboard CourseInfo - Blackboard is a courseware system administered by VanPelt Library. There is a charge for each Blackboard Course. Permission for a site must be approved by the department chair or coordinator.
Course Folders - PennDesign Computing provides space on the student file server for course materials. A CF is created for all Graduate Courses in Design. Each CF has 15GB of space. When off-campus, you can access your coursefolder remotely. Log in using your PennDesign ID and password at: www.design.upenn.edu/remoteaccess.
These Course Folders (CFs) can be accessed from any computer connected to the Design Domain (\\juno). All PennDesign faculty and staff have full read/write access to any CF (not just their own CF). It's also important to note that any access given to students is implied for ALL PennDesign students. Access is NOT specific to the students of that course. Read more on course folders here.
Class Mailing Lists - A classlist is automatically created for every class that is registered in SRS for the School of Design.
Course e-mail lists, or classlists, can provide a quick, convenient, and easy method of communication between students and professors. When a professor wishes to communicate with the class, all he/she has to do is send a message to the classlist e-mail address and the message will automatically be sent to all members of the class.
The classlist is given a list name based on the course number, section number, the last two digits of the calendar year and a one-character designation for the semester: "A" for Spring, "B" for Summer and "C" for Fall.
Since the classlist service is an email based service, we do not create a classlist unless the faculty instructor has an email address registered in the Penn Directory database. Please use the Faculty/Staff Directory Update Form to update your Directory listing, if necessary.
Courses InTouch - CIT is an application that houses Class Lists, Course Problem Notice (CPN), and the online grading module. You may access CIT either via the U@Penn Portal: http://medley.isc-seo.upenn.edu/penn_portal/u@penn.php in the section labeled "Student Advising & Administrative Resources" or via the following url: http://www.upenn.edu/isc/apps/CoursesInTouch.
