An in-depth investigation of types and forms of low cost housing developed in older, formerly industrial cities with a focus on arrangments for special needs populations.
    Specifically, students will examine the Phiiladelphia block and its potential fo innovative housing and neighborhood design.
    The course will also discuss the market-based and political forces behind the array of buildingtypes in a particualar city. Students produce prototype housing projects.
