Summer Residencies

Information about fine arts travelling fellowships and funding for summer residencies in New England.

The Department of Fine Arts and the Vermont Studio Center awards full scholarships for two graduate students in the MFA program. The Vermont Studio Center is a nonprofit, year-round, international creative community, serving artists and writers from across the country and around the world. The center is located in Johnson, Vermont.

The Susan Cromwell Coslett Travelling Fellowship was established in 1998 and is awarded to a student in PennDesign to visit gardens and landscapes. MFA students have been successful in the competition for this and have traveled to India, Costa Rica, and Australia for month-long summer residencies.

The Master of Fine Arts program offers special funding for students accepted by Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (Skowhegan, Maine).
