Curbed.com recently published 'Why The Scale Figures In Architectural Images Need To Be More Diverse', an article on how renderings play a key part in making architecture more inclusive. The article discusses how PennDesign alumni Rose Florian and Kordae Henry founded Just Nøt the Same last year after meeting at PennDesign's Acrihitecture program. As students they often had to include scalies (images of people) in their renderings to show scale but often found that the scalies available had no diversity. And that is how the duo came up with the idea for Just Nøt the Same which offers users a selection of scalies in under-represented ethnicities. Once again, our alumni makes us proud, great job guys!
