Here are the details that you all will need to know for Saturday.
The tour is leaving at 6am this Saturday from the loading dock of Meyerson
to
start the long drive to Fallingwater. The bus will not be able to wait for you
since we will be on a tight schedule. I will have free doughnuts and coffee
for everyone, so get there early please. If time allows, we will be making one
pit stop on the way to Fallingwater at the rest stop. Just in case, I suggest
everyone bring his or her own drinks, lunches, snacks and possibly dinners.
I
am hoping that we will be able to stop at the rest stop on the way back to
Philadelphia to grab something to eat on the bus. The drive each way will be
around 6 hours so definitely bring things to do like school work, reading
materials, etc. I will be renting a few movies, which we can vote whether or
not we want to play them when we are all on the bus. There are 52 people going
on this trip! We will be breaking into 4 groups of 13 so please get a buddy
to
sit next to because they will definitely be on the tour with you.
If you have never been to this side of the state, you are in for a treat. It
is great in the summer and I can’t wait to see it in the fall! Please
dress
appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. There will be some walking
involved. The weather forecast is for a high of 39 degrees.
There are also a few rules regarding the museum you must regard:
1. Photography is not allowed on the tour/ inside the house. Bring your
cameras but please only take pictures when permitted.
2. No Video cameras are allowed inside.
3. No large bags, purses, book bags, camera bags will be allowed inside due
to
the confines of the space. You may leave them on the bus or check them in at
the door.
4. I think this goes without saying but you cannot touch anything.
