The Athenæum is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The building is closed on national holidays as well as Good Friday, the day following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve day, and New Years Eve day. Appointments for research or tours of the building are required and may be made in writing or by telephone. Valid photo identification is required when registering.
