Bonnie Collura

is an artist working and living in NY. Collura utilizes a variety of materials including styrene, paper, wood, glue, paint, putty, foam and plasticene, to create sculptures that dynamically meld together references to Disney movies, fairy tales, Greek myths and the Baroque. Characterized by a disjointed narrative quality, her sculptures slowly unfold as the viewer moves around them, image after image building on the previous. Collura has had solo exhibitions in Germany, New York and Dallas and her work has been included in "About the Bayberry Bush," the Parrish Art Museum, Southhampton, New York (2000), "Dialogues," Walker Arts Center, Minneapolis (2000) and "Rendez-Vous," Museé d'Art Contemporain, Avignon, France.
