Ila Berman

is an architect and architectural theorist who holds a Doctorate in Architectural History, Theory and Criticism from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. She is an Associate Professor of Architecture, and the Harvey-Wadsworth Chair of Urbanism at Tulane University's School of Architecture where she teaches architectural design studio, history and theory as well as directs the Central European summer travel program. She is also a principal of the design firm-Studio Matrixx, recently having toured the exhibit "Bodyworks"-an exhibition and research project that explores the relationships between the human body and architecture.
