Jeff Kipnis

Curator of Architecture and Design at the Wexner Center for the Arts and Professor of Architecture at The Ohio State University, Jeffrey Kipnis founded the Graduate Design Program of the Architectural Association of London. His books include In the Manor of Nietzsche, Philip Johnson's Glass House and Choral Works, the Eisenman/Derrida Collaboration, and Perfect Acts of Architecture. Working with Tom Ball and Brian Neff of Telos Video, he has just finished a film about Frank Gehry's Peter Lewis House project. He has written numerous critical and theoretical essays for periodicals such as Art Forum, Assemblage and El Croquis and for art and architecture exhibition catalogues worldwide. His exhibitions at the Wexner Center include Suite Fantastique, an ensemble that wove together four separate design exhibitions, including Perfect Acts of Architecture, a selection of architectural drawings from the 80's, the furniture of Scott Burton, the motion title graphics of Imaginary Forces and The Predator, a collaborative project by painter Fabian Marcaccio and architect Greg Lynn. His most recent exhibition, Mood River, co-curated with Annetta Massie offered a madcap revue of the world of contemporary art and design.
