Scheduling of Computer Center LCD Projection Equipment and the Gateway Destination

To avoid scheduling conflicts for courses and electronic reviews that need access to LCD projection equipment, and to insure that the system and software needs are properly supported, we ask that all faculty and students observe the following policies. Projectors are only available for use for PennDesign courses in Meyerson Hall. Reserve a projector or the Destination by filling out the information requested in our online calendar at http://www.design.upenn.edu/comp/index.phpl top

E-Mail Support

Each student shall be assigned an e-mail account on the Dolphin e-mail system. Every student is expected to use e-mail regularly since the majority of communications from the University and PennDesign are distributed in that fashion. top

World Wide Web (WWW) Support of Personal Webs

E-mail accounts on the Dolphin system are also configured to support the creation of personal homepages for PennDesign students. The Dolphin computer systems are administered by the Office of Information Systems and Computing and have various policies on web page content and creation. Instructions on how to do this can be found at http://www.upenn.edu/computing/email/makehome.html. Due to limited resources, PennDesign computing staff cannot teach individuals how to create web pages. top
