| JOHN MOORE: SURVEY 1967-2006 | |
This month Philadelphia's Locks Gallery presents a 39-year survey of one of America's most-noted realists, John Moore, chair and Gutman professor of fine arts at Penn. Join fellow alumni for the opening reception on Friday, March 3, 5:30-7:30pm. The exhibition will be on view through April 8; gallery hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-6pm. Moore has explored intricately-composed urban views throughout his careers in Boston and Philadelphia and his travels to Israel and Spain. The thirty paintings in this exhibit date from 1967, when he was a student at Yale, to 2006; several are from private collections and have not been exhibited since the 70s and 80s.
