American Planning Association Chapter Awards Penn Planning Paper First Prize

PHILADELPHIA--Eight Master of City Planning candidates from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design will be honored with a cash award by the Southeast Section of the American Planning Association-Pennsylvania Chapter (APAPA) on October 25.
Sara Brandt-Vorel, Fern Braun, Phylicia Coleman, Kim Davies, Leonard Klipper, Liza Wallis, Alan Yu and Joy Zhou will be celebrated for a paper they collectively authored in studio under the instruction of Donnie Maley in the spring.
Their submission, entitled "Cobbs Creek District Vision + Proposals" claimed the First Place Team Award and was named the APAPASE 2012 Scholarship Award Winner.
"The paper was professionally written and presented. The review committee was thoroughly impressed with the comprehensive nature of the subject," said David D. Ward, Assistant Director of the Chester County Planning Commission.
