Penn IUR is proud to host this workshop, centered on the economic forecast for local governments and the Financially Distressed Municipalities Act of 1987. This event will feature such speakers and commentators as John Bear, State Representative, PA House of Representatives; Bill Brandt, CEO, DSI Civic; and Mark Zandi, CEO, Moody’s Economy.com and Chief Economist, Moddy’s Analytics; and David Thornburgh, Executive Director, Fels Institute of Government.

On view in the Slought Foundation galleries from January 12-February 28, 2012, the exhibition has been organized by artist and educator Huma Mulji, and features work by Hamra Abbas, Bani Abidi, David Alesworth and Adnan Madani, Amina El-Adroos, Ismet Khawaja, Basir Mahmod, Umber Majeed, and Rashid Rana. Presented in conjunction with the MFA Program in Fine Arts at PennDesign, with whom Slought is partnering in 2012 on a series of visits and projects by international mid-career artists.
