The Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard University recently announced Version 1.0 of WorldMap, an open-source software platform that provides users the ability to discover, organize, visualize, create, share and publish geographic data. Ben Lewis, Project Manager of WorldMap, will give a remote presentation on the project and the opportunity for collaboration between academics and GIS users. Register to attend.

The Senior Thesis Exhibition and catalogue, through April 24, reflects the work made in a yearlong project-based course. The Senior Seminar course, the capstone of the major within the Fine Arts Department, culminates in a final body of work that reflects intense research, process, discipline and experimentation in a chosen medium.

Pennsylvania Intelligent Transportation Society is a nationally based professional society that has engineers, planners, and government agents with a goal of improving transportation in PA. Joins Allie Slizofski of Pennsylvania ITS to hear what intelligent transportation is and what careers are in the field.

Plan to attend this Career Services lunchtime workshop which will cover resume organization and formatting. Then plan to attend Career Services Walk-in Advising in Meyerson Hall B13 for resume reviews from 12:45PM-1:30PM (you do not need to attend the workshop to come to a walk-in session, however these 15 minute meetings are “first come, first served.”

CHAI-NA/CHINA SIGNS – LIVE PERFORMANCE

I-Ching
 by Huang Rui and Love Me If You Can by Ko Siu Lan will be performed outside by the artists directly across from Slought Foundation, together with students from PennDesign’s MFA Program and the attending public.  In the early 1980s, Huang Rui began exploring the I-Ching (Book of Changes) - a set of divination systems created in the Zhou Dynasty. During the interactive performance art piece I-Ching, Huang Rui will invite 64 volunteers to participate for 64 minutes. Love Me If You Can is a new work by Ko Siu Lan that will also engage the audience. At once a performance and an action, it will explore and question the dichotomies and boundaries between public/private and collective/individual.
