B.A., Journalism, University of Missouri

Photographer. Teaches photojournalism. Since 1986, Staff Photographer, Philadelphia Inquirer, including seven years as photographer for the Inquirer Sunday Magazine. Prior to 1986, Staff Photographer, San Jose Mercury News. Awards include: Pennsylvania Photographer of the Year (1988); Second Place, Picture of the Year, National Photographer of the Year (1988); California Photographer of the Year (1983). Work on the A Day in the Life photography book series: Day in the Life of California, Day in the Life of China, Day in the Life of Italy, Day in the Life of Ireland (cover photo). Also contributed work for: One Digital Day, 24 Hours in Cyberspace, America 24/7, Pennsylvania 24/7.
