Phu Hoang is the founder and principal of Phu Hoang Office, a New York-based architecture practice with projects in architecture, interiors, and exhibition design. He founded Phu Hoang Office in 2006. Phu Hoang Office has received awards and competition prizes both nationally and internationally. The practice was awarded the Architectural League Prize in 2009. In 2010, Phu Hoang Office won (with Rachely Rotem Studio) the Oceantfront competition organized by Art Basel Miami Beach and Creative Time. Phu Hoang is an architect and an educator with extensive design and building experience. He is a licensed architect in the state of New York, a member of the AIA and holds NCARB certification.

Phu Hoang holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University in New York. Prior to teaching at the University of Pennsylvania, Phu Hoang taught at Columbia University.
