Jon Morrison, P.E.
Biography

Mr. Morrison is Principal Structural Engineer and a founding partner of CVM Engineers, an award-winning structural engineering consultancy based in Philadelphia with a practice that extends internationally.
Mr. Morrison's expertise is in the development of innovative structural systems for refined architectural projects. His approach to collaboration with the complete project team is one that often leads to unexpected and elegant results. This has created a body of published work, some of which has been featured in Architectural Record and Metropolis. These projects include the Liberty Bell Center, The Loblolly House, exhibits at the Cooper-Hewitt and MoMA, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and other significant cultural and performing arts projects.
His work also includes the structural design for academic, athletic, performing arts and residential buildings for a number of prominent colleges and universities including the University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, and Yale University. He is a frequent juror, critic, and lecturer in various university architecture programs.
