Biography

A former painting major as a undergraduate student Scotty made the switch to illustration and design once he saw his first exhibit of graphic design work by Alvin Lustig in 1997. A graduate of Tyler School of Art's MFA program in Graphic & Interactive Design, Scotty is always pursuing design and illustration projects that utilize his sensitivity for a nostalgic aesthetic. Scotty has spent the last 3 years working for Paul Kepple at the award-winning studio Headcase Design in Philadelphia. He has done projects for such high profile clients as the rapper Eminem, Bravo TV, books for the Broadway Shows Spring Awakening and Wicked to name a few. Scotty has also illustrated for clients the likes of GQ magazine, Time, Boston Globe, The New Yorker, The New York Times and Wired magazine.
Scotty has had his work shown in shows in Seattle, Berlin and London this past year. He has been recognized by Communication Arts, Print Magazine and American Illustration for his work in illustration and graphic design.
Currently Scotty is teaching and working on Illustration and design projects. When he isn't working he is spending time with his wife,1 year old son Lukas and their terrier Sophia Loren on their 180 year old farm house in quaint rural Lancaster County.
