Biography

B.S., M.F.A., University of Wisconsin at Madison

Painter and drawer. Directs undergraduate program, teaches undergraduate painting and drawing and serves as a graduate critic. Taught at Williams College, University of Virginia, Northern Virginia Community College, and Interlochen Center for the Arts. Residencies include International School of Art, Montecastello, Italy Residency (1999). Banff Centre for the Arts, Canada (2005), Tyrone Guthrie Center, Annaghmakerrig, Ireland (2007). University of Pennsylvania Research Foundation Grant (2007), University of Pennsylvania Trustees FEW Grant (1998); Arlington Commission for the Arts Grant (1994); Virginia Commission for the Arts Grant (1992); Mid-Atlantic/NEA Regional Grant (1988). Solo exhibitions include Wilmington College, Wilmington, OH (2002); Indiana Wesleyan University Gallery, Marion, IN (2001); Interlochen Center for the Arts (2000); Azeele Gallery, Tampa, FL (2000); Millsaps College, MS (2000); Peninsula Fine Arts Center, VA (1996); Jane Haslem Gallery (1993, 1989); University of Wisconsin (1976).
