Lucinda R. Sanders was reappointed and promoted to adjunct professor of landscape architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and named CEO of OLIN. Her most recent projects include Comcast Center Plaza in Philadelphia and Weill Hall at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She co-authored the book OLIN: Placemaking, published by Monacelli Press, which features a selection of the OLIN studio's most celebrated landscape architecture, urban design and planning projects. The book includes a transcribed conversation between Sanders and Charles Waldheim, a leading proponent of landscape urbanism, about the future of the landscape architecture profession. Sanders, and her five partners, received the 2008 Landscape Design Award from the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. They were honored for their excellence and innovation in landscape design and dedication to sustainability.
