Painter. Teaches undergraduate painting and graduate seminar in critical issues. Taught at University of New Mexico, Rice University, University of Houston. Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship Award in Painting (2006); Rockefeller Foundation, Bellagio Center Residency (2005); Pew Fellowship in the Arts (2004); M-AAA/NEA Fellowship in painting (1995); Core Fellows Residency, Glassell School of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX (1988-90).
