Jackie Wong
Biography
Jackie Wong is a lecturer at the PennDesign. He received his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennyslvania, where he was the recipient of the Paul Philippe Cret Medal and Prize, the Alpha Rho Chi Medal, the Mario J. Romanach Fellowship, and the Warren Powers Laird Award.
Jackie is currently a senior architectural designer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in New York City, where he is part of the SOM Education Lab, a design group that specializes in education projects. He is currently designing the ceremonial and administration buildings for the new campus for Kuwait University. Among other education projects, he was on the design team for the High School of Art and Design in New York.
He recently completed the design for an office tower and a mixed-use building for King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. a winning scheme for a foundation headquarters in Abu Dhabi and a mixed-use tower in Southeast Asia, which recently received an award from the Boston Society of Architects.
He teaches Visual Studies in the fall semester and has been the studio assistant for Bill Braham, Martin Haas and Stefan Behnisch during the spring semester.
