Teaches advanced architecture design studios in collaboration with James Timberlake. Partner at KieranTimberlake Associates LLP. Fellow of the American Academy in Rome (1980–81). Inaugural recipient of the AIA Benjamin Latrobe Fellowship for Architectural Research and recipient of Graham Foundation Grant.
Lectures internationally and has served as Eero Saarinen Distinguished Professor of Design at Yale University, Max Fisher Chair at the University of Michigan, and has taught at Princeton University.
Co-authored refabricating Architecture (2004), and MANUAL: The Architecture of KieranTimberlake (2002), with James Timberlake. Co-authored Berkeley, The Building of a College (1999) with Paul Goldberger and Laurence Winnie. Firm is the recipient of over fifty design awards and has won numerous competitions. Projects have been published in AD, Arch+, Architecture Magazine, Architectural Record, Architectural Review, World Architecture, Cambridge University's Architectural Research Quarterly, I.D. Magazine, Interiors (Taiwan), Interior Design, WIRED, Metropolis, The New York Times and Time Magazine.
