Winka Dubbeldam's Firm Featured in 'Surface'

Miller Professor and Chair of Architecture Winka Dubbeldam led Surface through several of her landmark buildings in a behind-the-scenes video tour.

As the founding principal of the New York firm Archi-Tectonics, Dubbeldam has built several projects in SoHo, including the 512 GW Townhouse, 33 Vestry Street, and the 497 GW Building.

The video also gives a preview of her firm's winning proposal for the 2022 Asian Games complex in Hangzhou, China, which includes two stadiums, a shopping mall, visitor centre, and a mile-long park.

Archi-Tectonics will be featured in new exhibition, "FlatLands & Massive Things - From NL to NYC & Beyond," at the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin, Germany.

Opening March 15 and on view through April 25, the exhibition offers insight into the firm's methodology, combining state-of-the-art digital technologies with nuanced philosophical approaches. It will also highlight Dubbeldam's geographic influences as a Dutch-American architect.
