Her work is informed by cultural and spatial symptoms of neoliberalism, consumerism and technological advance. Rebecca's process is grounded in observation and an experiential translation of life under late capitalism. Her work materializes a material language of precarity through instability, collapsing visual space and disrupted viewership. Cyclic history, speculative value, infrastructure, architecture and duration guide and inform her work. Videos explore notions of progress through cyclic repetition, repeated attempts without resolution, and mechanisms of surveillance.     Rebecca Naegele lives and works in Queens, NY. She received an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020 and attended the Whitney Independent Study Program's Studio Program in New York, NY in 2016-17.
