Andrea Ngan is a design strategist and community organizer whose work spans service design, interaction design, qualitative research, social justice, community engagement, and socially engaged art. She is passionate about designing collaborative and organizational strategies that grow just and liberatory futures. Themes in her work include collectivism, the politics of care, youth leadership, and accessibility. Andrea is currently a service design strategist at the City of Philadelphia’s Service Design Studio. She formerly served as a design strategist at Penn Medicine’s Center for Digital Health. Prior to her work in Philadelphia, she designed interactive exhibitions for museums and public spaces. She is founding director of Creative Resilience Collective, a health justice organization that partners with communities and advocates looking to improve access to self-determined mental health care. In 2018, she co-initiated Creative Resilient Youth, a creative art and leadership platform for Philadelphia-area youth to influence the future of youth mental health care and education through collective art making. In 2019, she co-initiated the Design Justice Network Philadelphia Node.
