Two years in the making and against the backdrop of one of the greatest public health crises of our generation, the Weitzman School of Design and Pennsylvania Hospital joined forces to examine the legacy of America’s ‘first hospital’ and its institutional role in shaping public health in the city, region, and nation. Join us tonight for a presentation and discussion of how historic preservation and specifically the creation of a conservation management plan will lay the groundwork for the hospital’s civic and professional future.
The Graduate Program in Historic Preservation would like to invite you to a conversation on the Pennsylvania Hospital Conservation Management Plan with Jeff O'Neill, Sr. Director, Facilities, Pennsylvania Hospital; Stacey Peeples, Curator/Lead Archivist, Pennsylvania Hospital; Michael C. Henry, Adjunct Professor of Architecture, Weitzman School of Design; and Kecia Fong, Lecturer & Project Manager, Weitzman School of Design/Center for Architectural Conservation.
More information about the event will be posted soon.
