Announcement Date
Wednesday, March 25, 2026 - 11:38

Upcoming changes to Duo Mobile may affect your ability to use Duo Push for Two-Step Verification.

What is changing

  • March 31, 2026: Duo will require Duo Mobile version 4.85 or later. Duo Push and Verified Push will stop working on earlier app versions.
  • April 15, 2026: Duo will end support for older mobile operating systems, including iOS 16 and Android 11. Devices running unsupported operating systems may no longer be able to update Duo Mobile.

What you should do

  • Update Duo Mobile through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before March 31, 2026.
  • Make sure your mobile device is running a supported operating system:
    • Android 12 or later
    • iOS 17 or later
  • If you cannot update your app or operating system, set up an alternate Two-Step Verification method through the Duo Device Management Portal.

How to check your Duo Mobile version

  1. Open the Duo Mobile app
  2. Tap the three-line menu icon in the upper-left corner
  3. Check the version number at the bottom of the screen
    1. The current app version is 4.109 (note that 4.109 is a later version than 4.85).

What happens if no action is taken
Users who do not update Duo Mobile by March 31 will no longer be able to use Duo Push or Verified Push and will see an “Update Required” message when attempting to authenticate.
