Final Reviews: IT Resources & Reminders

Dear Students,

As we head into final reviews, Weitzman ITS would like to remind you of the following resources and recommendations. Please plan ahead to ensure you have reserved equipment and printed materials ready in time for your presentations. Do not wait until the last minute!

Computer Labs

  • Lab availability: https://www.design.upenn.edu/it/lab-and-class-info
  • Weitzman computer labs are available 24/7.
  • Unattended computer stations will be logged out and restarted by IT staff.
  • Please keep the area clean, as this is a shared public space.

Printing and Plotting

  • For detailed information about printer access (pricing, locations, and usage), please visit the IT website.
  • If you have never plotted before, you must take the mandatory plotting quiz in advance to gain access.
  • Studios are encouraged to designate printing liaisons to assist with supplies and basic support after hours.
  • Be sure to properly format your PDF files before printing and follow our recommended workflow when sending your print job.
  • Print as early as possible.
  • Print refunds must be requested by May 12th.

Cloud Storage Resources

  • Use cloud storage to protect your work in case of device issues.
  • Penn+Box: Available to all full-time faculty, staff, and students.
  • Microsoft OneDrive (O365): Available with your O365 account.

AV Resources and Reservations

  • Coordinate AV equipment reservations well in advance through your department coordinator.
  • Always check with your instructor or department first.

Extended IT Support Hours

  • April 27 – April 30 (Mon–Thu): 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • May 1 (Fri): 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • May 3 (Sun): 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • May 4 – May 7 (Mon–Thu): 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • May 8 (Fri): 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
