Master of Architecture Prerequisites
To be admitted without conditions to the three-year Master of Architecture program, an applicant is required to possess the following:
- the successful completion of not less than one college-level physics course; the completion of two college-level physics courses is recommended;
- the successful completion of not less than one college-level calculus course;
- a general knowledge of the history of Western architecture as demonstrated by the successful completion of not less than one college-level course;
- and the successful completion of a minimum of two semesters of college-level design studio courses. One of these design studios should be an architecture studio.
Candidates admitted with deficiencies in any of these prerequisites must fulfill them before matriculation.
Master of Science in Historic Preservation
Before entering the Master of Science in Historic Preservation, students must have proficiency in computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD). Those electing to pursue the concentration in architectural conservation should have at least one college-level course in basic chemistry or equivalent before beginning the curriculum.
