Historic Preservation

Caitlin is studying historic preservation with a concentration in architectural conservation. After earning a BA in history from the University of Richmond, Caitlin interned at Cliveden of the National Trust before beginning her master's degree at Penn. This summer, Caitlin is working with the Center for Architectural Conservation at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument in Colorado. The team is repairing a 34 million year old fossilized sequoia stump by restoring detached fragments using an epoxy treatment. Caitlin is also working with Materials Conservation to perform conservation treatments on the cemetery at Old Swedes Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
