Dyan just graduated from Weitzman School of Design with a Master's Degree in Architecture and Landscape Architecture this past May. Her research interest is in the decolonization of design practice, particularly in the vulnerable coastal communities of the Global South, which was the focus of her thesis studio project during her last year. She was born in the Philippines and migrated to Detroit with her family during high school. Prior to PennDesign, Dyan received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Michigan, with a minor in Art and Asian Languages. She has worked as a design intern at various architecture and landscape firms during the summers between semesters, including OJB Landscape Architecture and AOS Architects based in Philadelphia.
