Jessica is a landscape designer who has worked on public landscape projects across a range of scales in the northeast. She is motivated by the integration of the social and environmental functions of public spaces, and is influenced by a background in community engagement and public art. She has also conducted research on landscapes in regions of post-conflict. Before pursuing landscape architecture practice, she was involved with nonprofit organizations that produced community-led environmental design and public art projects. She currently works s a landscape designer with Studio Zewde in New York City, and previously at Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects. Jessica completed graduate studies in urban design at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, Colombia, and holds Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of City Planning degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
