Architecture PhD candidate Teng Teng has joined Lawrence Technological University (LTU) as an Assistant Professor of Architecture in the College of Architecture and Design. In this role, he teaches design studios and technology-focused courses that connect computational design with fabrication and building performance. His research explores advanced additive manufacturing and multi-material workflows, with an emphasis on how programmable material composition can support higher performance, lower waste, and new ways to integrate structure, enclosure, and environmental response. He is also interested in bridging research and teaching through prototyping, so students can test how design decisions translate into real fabrication constraints, assembly logic, and measurable performance.
