My work employs a set of forms subjected to an imagined process of change, depicting them as reminiscent of what they once were, while also pushing for some sort of autonomous existence and the phenomenon that lies between, yet over-arching the process. My work takes drawing as a fundamental structure from which other media can be extrapolated. The simplest form I use is the line: a marker that indicates both the gestural and concrete. Line evokes the movement of the body as it fluctuates between flatness, volumetric space, and temporal space. I work within the sphere of my immediate context: places that I inhabit and objects that I may find in my quotidian activities. My portfolio primarily comprises drawings, sculptures, and other mixed media.
