Shay Myerson

FNAR Thesis2026
Installation view of multimedia sculptures that are mounted on poles

Across media, Myerson approaches form as a diagnostic tool, attuning to cultural tremors before they settle into discourse. She works within moments when objects become proxies for ontological confusion, when infrastructures of care and infrastructures of fear become indistinguishable. Within these tensions, her work traces how people orient themselves through inherited fictions, environmental pressures, and sensory logics of determinacy.

Shay Myerson is an artist and social worker based between Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Through material and social arrangements, Myerson traces the unstable boundary between the intimate and the infrastructural, attending to moments when meaning slips, doubles, or misfires. She has exhibited work in Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR and Lubbock, TX, and has curated exhibitions in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA.

This work was included in Under Scores, the 2026 Weitzman Fine Arts MFA Thesis Exhibition.
