Austin L. Wheat, GISP, PMP
Austin is a recent graduate of the Master of Urban Spatial Analytics program at the Weitzman School of Design and of the Leadership and Management Graduate Certificate from the Wharton School. As a native of Arizona, Austin holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, both from Arizona State University. His capstone work utilized image classification focused on extending the availability of life saving resources to migrants crossing the Sonoran Desert.
Austin has worked in various technical and go-to-market functions at Esri, HERE, and SafeGraph. He currently works as a Sr. Client Success Manager at Unacast where he works with executives, product managers, and data scientists to maximize the organizational value of mobility data. He is a true lover of cultures, language, and food and always has a bag half packed ready for a trip. Equipped with a terrible sense of direction, he relies heavily on maps and generally dislikes long walks on the beach as he forgets where he left his car in the first place.
