As a graduating Master's student in Landscape Architecture with a passion for exploring cultural landscapes, I am excited to explore sustainable, culturally responsive design. Throughout my academic career at Upenn, I have focused on incorporating a larger environmental and infrastructural system, as well as the cultural and social context of the site, into my design work. I have a deep appreciation for the process of researching local history to inform my designs and create landscapes that are deeply rooted in the site's context. During my time at Upenn, I discovered my passion for historic research and its application to landscape design. For my 702 studio project, I focused on envisioning a more sustainable
landscape for the iconic National Mall. Through proposing a rigorous plan to abandon the original monoculture of elm trees and bring in more diverse tree species.
