Helen Lea

Helen is a designer and planner who never says no to a complex problem. She will be graduating from Penn with a Master’s in City Planning with a concentration in Urban Design in Spring 2023, and currently holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Utah State University. Combining the creativity and intimate details of design with the unifying systems and practice of city planning, Helen strives to promote health, sustainability, and social equity through her work. Her recent studio projects include “Embracing the Guts”, a new design approach to stormwater management for the St. Croix Resilience Studio, and “Broad + Vine: Reimagining Downtown Living”, an intergenerational, arts-focused community designed for the Urban Design Capstone Studio.
