The past two years have been an amazing learning experience at UPenn. I have grown immensely as a designer by learning from different mentors along the program that have helped me establish my own interest in what I want to pursue in architecture. I have been heavily inspired by materiality since I started at UPenn, and that is something that I want to continue to study and research as I go into my career. My work has been derived through the process of understanding how I can take a creative idea onto paper and make sense of it through drawing. Drawing materiality and understanding how components come together is one of the most important aspects of design. Nevertheless, being able to build and represent the drawings in a physical medium is very powerful, and that is why I like to make physical models to understand how materiality behaves to one another.
