Monte Reed

Monte Reed is a multi-faceted designer holding a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Portland State University. Many fields of design influence his process, from fashion to automobiles. Monte spent much of his life in Portland, Oregon, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Portland State University. He has worked with Linden Brown Architecture in Portland, YBA Architects in Portland, and Time Magazine’s 100 - Esque Studio. Monte held a Graduate Teaching Assistant role for core design studios at the Weitzman School of Design. He received the KPF externship through Penn in 2021, received third place in the 2021 HOK Futures Competition, and received the E. Lewis Dales Travelling Fellowship and the Van Alen Traveling Fellowship in 2022. Monte has been exhibited and published by Pressing Matters, Weitzman Architecture, Portland State University, and Center of Architecture - Portland, among others. He has been a guest reviewer of academic work at Portland State University since 2014. In 2016, Monte collaborated with Snohetta to produce their first full-scale U.S. exhibition at the Portland Center for Architecture, Snohetta: People, Process, Projects.
