Myron Joel Bañez

Myron grew up in Vallejo, a suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area, which has imbued his interests in the built and natural environment. He is particularly interested in community oriented small businesses, planning in cultural spaces, and transportation.

During his time at the Weitzman School of Design, Myron furthered his interests by curating his experience to understand the application of geospatial data science as a tool to inform planning, policy, and design interventions.

Prior to the University of Pennsylvania, he graduated from Seattle University with a degree in International Economic Development while working with the Filipino American National Historical Society as a Research Associate for Seattle Filipinotown.
