“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.” The Great Gatsby ends like this. It recounts a constant battle of acceptance and denial, a paradox of looking forward to the dream of progression while reminiscing about the spiritual homeland. This idea represents my own understanding of the relationship between humans, nature, and urbanism. Through this lens, I try to understand the land deeply, contextually, and thoroughly. As a landscape designer, I am committed to creating spaces that respond to the unique needs of communities and promote social and environmental sustainability. I believe that good design should be inclusive and accessible to all.
