I am thrilled to be graduating with my Master of Architecture this Spring and lucky enough to have the privilege of working with talented and passionate individuals who have helped shape my understanding of the built environment. From collaborating on design projects to engaging in critical discourse about the social, cultural, and environmental impact of architecture, I have gained a deep appreciation for my time here at Penn.

These ruins are cut and polished to create new interventions. This act of natural erosion creates a constantly changing scenario that celebrates the inherent variability of the material.

Our new conical forms use the concept of desire paths to determine location within the site. Following existing context but also diverging into a curated a desired path. The desire paths also allow us to create elevation changes and introduce new moments of entry, programmatic changes and site organization.

New conical forms are the operation we developed which affects the existing formations to create thresholds, vessels, volumes and niches. The conical forms carve into the tuff and also graft to the tuff.
