Anna Bruce

Before coming to Penn to study architecture, I studied Art History at Williams College, my advisor there used to tell me that an architect should be able to wear many hats all at once; embodying the necessary skills of a painter, a sculptor, a scientist, and a writer, among others. Architecture has allowed me to bring my passion for art, the outdoors, and the climate crisis into a cohesive medium. My work seeks to weave inter-disciplinary themes into architectural work in order to challenge our pre-conceived notions about space and its capacity to influence, educate, and bring together communities.
